VIDEO: Please upload a video lasting approx one (1) minute telling us a bit about yourself and, specifically, why you would be a good Big Brother Housemate. This video is a chance for you to show us your personality and humour. This should be a dedicated application video for Big Brother - please do not upload any TikTok or other social media videos, or videos that are not related to your application for Big Brother - we want to see you telling us why you think you would be a great Housemate. If you upload a video which is not a dedicated Big Brother application video, we may not be able to progress with your application.

TIPS:

• Show off your personality and humour! You can do this by telling us why you would make a great Housemate for this series, or tell us a funny story that describes who you are or tell us what you are like to live with

• Do not edit your video with filters, jump cuts or music

• Do not upload a video that is not a dedicated application video for Big Brother such as TikTok videos, videos from nights out/events you have attended etc

• Keep your video to around one (1) minute long

• Hold the camera steady – use both hands if possible

• Ideally the camera should be landscape not portrait

• Try not to film in front of a window

BACKGROUND CHECKS

Please note, if you reach the later stages of the casting process, we will ask you for more information about your background. This will include asking you to tell us if you have ever been convicted of a criminal offence, if you have any criminal prosecutions pending or have ever been arrested or been the subject of an official police caution in respect of a sexual or violent offence or any type of fraud. We may ask you for the details of any of these. Giving a positive answer to those questions will not automatically disqualify you from participating in the programme. This information will be used in our contributor selection process, as part of the background checks we conduct to comply with our Health and Safety and other legal obligations including safeguarding the welfare of you and other applicants or contributors.

CONFIDENTIALITY

We would ask that you keep the contents of your application and the application process confidential and do not post on social media or talk to the press about your application or the application process. This icludes disclosing the fact you have applied for the programme, discussing the application process and posting an correspondence with the casting team on social media. If you are found to have done this, we may not be able to progress with your application.
